Help us to help Cambodia

Little girls in a SIPAR libraryIn Cambodia, 30 years of war have exterminated 2 million people, as well as all knowledge. Today, 45% of the population remains illiterate and 40% is less than 15 years old.

SIPAR, an organization of international solidarity, founded in 1982, is an active participant in the reconstruction of the country via education.
SIPAR's mission is to combat illiteracy, a source of poverty.

Children in Cambodia
We open libraries in public schools, in order to allow children to discover books. We have set up centres for public reading and traveling libraries to access populations in remote areas.
Since 2000, we publish books in Khmer for children, young people and adults.
